Origin of Species

In this blog, we are discussing the Biological Species and what is the correct definition of Species. How humans are evolved through this process and also what is the meaning of Bipedalism. We also discussed Why Humans are natural Species and What is the difference between Humans and Other Species?

In the beginning, there was nothing, but when there was something, at that time, something started. Life is a miracle, and it flourished in the womb of Nature. This world got its first visitors in the form of Unicellular species, but now I am, typing this blog to tell you what we have lost and gained.

What is the difference between Humans and Other species?

We are different. Not just different. We are the Creeps. When we think about the fastest animals in the world, what do you think? Cheetah or the Flamingo? The ariel vs. Land animals, who is the fastest? Effortlessly you can say Ariel is the fastest. That is how the Golden Eagle can hunt superiorly to the Asian Lion.

The best thing about doing any physical activity, it always depends on the balance. The balance of Aerodynamics and the leg movement of the Eagle while flying and capturing prey influences the speed of an Eagle’s hunting skill.

Have you ever seen a cheetah running so hard to catch a Buck? Just look at the moment of the tail. It is balancing the body and the center of mass? That is why Cheetah can run with such intensity, but when you look for the deer. This perfect animal can dodge the mighty running speed of the Cheetah. Why does this happen?

For Dodging, the small tail is effective, but you need a long tail for running the fastest, so these two animals have different tail structures.

Have you ever seen a Chimpanzee? It can run at the speed of 40 kmph. Still, without any formal training, Usain Bolt spends 90 minutes in a gym to make himself faster on the Olympic ground. Intense training is all about the Core muscles. Still, the Humans need to work on this but have you seen a Chimpanzee working out? Even though Chimpanzee’s body is not built for running.

Bipedalism

Bipedalism refers to the ability to stand and walk on feet. This ability played a major role in human evolution because the stages of our evolution were dependent on this ability. That is why we can more balance ourselves on our feet than our ancestors.

Biological Species

The Biological Species refers to the reproductive capabilities of Animals. You can say it is a species when the organism of two different populations can produce fertile and natural offspring.

There are some conditions:

  1. The organism from different populations must be capable of interbreeding.
  2. Mating must occur naturally and not part of a laboratory experiment.
  3. Offspring must be fertile so that they can have the ability to produce other offspring.

Why Humans are natural Species

Let’s take a famous example of a Mule. It is the offspring of a Male Donkey and a Female horse. But this mule is more productive than a donkey and stronger than the horse.

Mules have better stamina than a horse. They are more patient and durable than horses. We all know Donkey is an idiot animal, but this interbreed offspring is more intelligent but stubborn than Donkey.

But because of the odd number of chromosomes, this mule cannot further reproduce their offspring, which is why horse and Donkey are two different species.

But all the human population worldwide belongs to the same species, no matter how much interbreeding happened between different species of humans and our ancestors. Offspring were fertile. Here we are, running on their legacy.

Mind-blowing fact

In my last blog, I discussed Neanderthals. I also mentioned that Neanderthals are a different species other than sapiens.

But do you know, the Smithsonian national museum recorded at least 21 recorded species of Human Beings? Sadly, only Sapiens is still in existence.

In my next blogs, I will try to explain every species of Human being in detail.
